It is indeed encouraging when we find consonance with some of the more respected voices among official society.

For the second time in as many weeks Senator Mary King has come out in a most straight forward, to the point, objective, very transparent and country-supportive analysis of a current and important national issue. The bid by CEMEX to take over 100% of the Trinidad Cement Company is a national issue of significant regional importance. Mary King deals with the issue in today’s Express Newspaper. I encourage you to read it and so obtain an even better understanding and appreciation for the point of view and position of the OWTU already communicated in the media and demonstrated by all of TCL’s employees. So well elucidated are the issues of the takeover bid and its possible consequences in her column today, that I ask through this medium, Mary King’s kind permission to quote the whole of her dissertation today.
